In this column I would like to discuss about one deck that I called preferably the craziest strongest deck of all time, if not because of restrictions amd banned list : the TIME BLASTER. Many may not knew this deck (especially new players), and this is the deck that I think the origin to another great deck: Tolarian Academy deck. Time Blaster is able to start a 1st turn, after-my-turn-is-my-turn mechanism. Just imagine, with 4 Ancestral Recall, and 8 moxes and 4 lotuses, it is easy to fire a 1st turn: Island, Black Lotus, Mox Sapphire, Time Walk, Time Twister, and refill the hand with another 7 cards, preferably a Time Walk again. Unless you have Force of Will, it is impossible to stop this crazy combo deck.

The second arguably the most powerful combo deck of all time, is the Pros-Bloom deck. Note that the Squandered Resources is banned in Mirage Block because of the domination of this deck during its time and till now, it is still the king. Having to fire the Cadaverous Bloom + Squandered Resources + Prosperity + Drain Life with City of Solitude in play, is nothing to laugh at. I, myself, particularly had been a victim of this strong deck twice.
The third deck is of course, belongs to Necro deck. No one will forget the "Black Summer", way back in 1996. The year where 65% of the players were playing Necro in the world championship. The power of the skull is nothing to laugh at either. Having to draw up to 19 cards in turn one, you will be at the advantage side. Prepared with 4 Hymm and 4 Strip Mine, you can control the board as early as turn 2 and pounce on your opponent with your variations of creatures. And the result of this deck domination, Strip Mine and Hymm To Tourach are restricted and now, Necropotence, is the victim of restriction too.
