| This is my first Type 2 deck after i built my Sap-Oppo deck. Beginning, I planned to make it a u/g madness deck which is a beatdown deck but it seems like it is not fit enough. The beatdown is not as good as combining burn with Compulsion or Wild Mongrel. So I created this 3-colour deck, which utilizes all the most versatile madness cards from Torment. This deck is almost an Odyssey block deck, except for the 6 painlands.
One of the earlier combos I think of is unfortunately not valid, which is using Pitchstone Wall with madness cards. That's why I decided to go with 4 Grim Lavamancer, just becoz my graveyard is fast enough ful with cards, due to Compulsion. And only by playing this deck, I see the real power of Compulsion as a madness-powering engine. Some people suggest I should put in Wild Research, but I don't think it is good in this deck. I may search for a Circular Logic or Fiery Temper (when I really need them to counter or burn) but then find out that oops, it got discarded becoz of the random discard ability.
This deck is fun to play, and cool to use (as cool as my 18 degree celcius office). It will face a big problem against r/g beatdown and fast mono green stompy, once I lost my Pitchstone Wall. Sigh!
My latest deck is WUG Hop! Hop! Hopper! which i created after Judgment is released. It is a control deck with 19 counterspells, 7 creature control (evacuation and wrath) and 4 undieable creature, Anurid Brushopper. It starts off by countering the opponent's spells while setting up the combo of FoF and Riftstone Portal. Once the brushopper hits the table, with Nantuko Monastery in play, cast WoG or Evacuation, remove the brushopper and return it into play at the end of turn and began attacking with it and a changed 4/4 monastery the next turn. It should be quite fun to play.
